The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the revealed will of God (II Tim. 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; Heb. 4:12).
There is one true Godhead comprised of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All are co-equal and co-eternal (Mt. 28:19, I Jn. 1:1, 14).
Man was created in God's image. By voluntary transgression he fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Gen. 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Rom. 5:12-21).
Salvation of man:
Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus Christ became sin and sickness providing both salvation and healing for all mankind (Ps. 103:3). This salvation comes by believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing with your mouth, Jesus as Lord (Rom. 3:24, 10:8-10; Eph. 2:8).
The inward evidence, to the believer, is the direct witness of the Spirit (Rom. 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of true holiness and love (I Jn. 3:23; Jn. 13:35).
Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; however our works are evidence of our faith and will determine our rewards in eternity (Rom. 10:9-10, 14:10-12; II Cor. 5:10; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; James 2:18).
Baptism in water is a declaration to the world that a believer has died with Christ and that they have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Mt. 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:4).
The celebration of the Lord's Supper by eating of the bread and drinking of the cup is a remembrance of Jesus (I Cor. 11:24-30).
All believers are entitled to, and should ardently expect and earnestly seek, the promise of the Father, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to the command of Jesus Christ. With this comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowal of gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry: This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth (Lk. 24:49; Acts 1:4-8, 2:38-39, 10:44-46, 11:14-16, 15:7-9; I Cor. 12:1-31).
The evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit:
The full consummation of the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:44-46,19:2,6).
The Church is the Body of Christ:
Each believer is an integral part (Eph. 1:22, 2:19-22; Heb. 12:23).
Total Prosperity:
Spiritual (Jn. 3:3, 11; II Cor. 5:17-21;Rom. 10:9-10).
Mental (II Tim. 1:7; Rom. 12:2; Is. 26:3).
Physical (Is. 53:4-5; Mt. 8:17).
Financial (III Jn. 2; Lk. 6:38; II Cor. 9:6-10; Phil. 4:19).
Social (Pr. 3:4).
Blessed Hope:
Jesus is coming to gather all His saints to Heaven (I Cor. 15:51-52; I Thess. 4:16-17; II Thess. 2:1).
Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead. They will burn in the Lake of Fire (Rev. 19:20, 20:10-15).
The Millennial Reign of Jesus:
The return of our Lord Jesus Christ with His saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth as the Scripture promised (Rom. 11:25, 27; II Thess. 1:7; Rev. 19:11-16, 20:1-7). After this, there will be a new earth (Rev. 21). VII. Vision: The vision for the Impact Ministries International Fellowship of Churches (IMIFC) is to serve local churches that are devoted to fulfilling the whole purpose of God in our generation. This is defined as:Loving God
This is the first commandment, and it is our purpose to promote the worship and adoration for God first in all that we do. Our foremost devotion is to prepare the bride of Christ for the coming of her King.
Loving our neighbors
This is the second commandment, and the Lord said that His disciples would be known by their love for each other. God so loved the world that He gave His own Son for its salvation. Because we love Him, we aspire to make every necessary sacrifice to reveal His love for the world through the preaching of the gospel and being vessels that the Holy Spirit can use. VIII. Organization: IMI Fellowship is a relationship-based fellowship and not just an organization. We will promote unity among our brethren denominationally and non-denominationally. Our desire is to develop and establish Christ centered Fellowships and Home-groups around the world interconnected with the rest of the body of believers in the earth. To this end IMI has two levels of accountability. Level 1: IMI Fellowships and Level 2: IMI Home Groups.
Level 1: IMI Fellowships: is for those congregations that IMI is responsible to on an oversight basis.
Level 2: IMI Home Groups: is for those groups wanting a spiritual oversight without initially becoming and IMI Fellowship.Responsibility to Members:
1. To build relationships with our members.
2. To maintain Biblical standards of integrity, doctrine, practice, and spiritual growth.
3. To be our "brother's keeper."
4. To equip other for ministry.
5. To Work for the unity of the body of Christ.
6. To behave with grace toward non-Christians.
7. To maintain a sound Biblical form of church government. IX. X. Apostolic Covering: All local IMI Fellowships are an extension of Impact Ministries International and are individually a unique part of the body of Christ. Within Impact Ministries International, each local IMI Fellowship is under the direct headship of the Office of Presiding Chaplain and the appointed chaplain/pastor of the local IMI Fellowship. Any disciplinary action beyond the scope of chaplain of local IMI Fellowship shall be handled through the Office of the Presiding Chaplain of IMI [National Office]. XI. Right of Visitation: The Office of the Presiding Chaplain reserves the right to visit any of it's local IMI Fellowships at anytime in an effort to build, uplift, edify, correct, teach, and minister when so directed by the Holy Spirit. At no time is the chaplain to schedule a meeting with a minister who requires a set minimum honorarium. All special guest ministers will receive an honorarium or offering from the congregation. All monies will be given [with no deductions] to the special guest minister. XIV. Prophetic Ministry : All members are encouraged to prophesy. Prophetic ministry teams should be encouraged in all local IMI Fellowships. All prophetic words will follow the example give us in 1 Corinthians 14:3 and shall encourage, exhort and comfort the listener. At no time is prophetic ministry to be used to point out someone's sin or used to demoralize or heap condemnation on the listener. The chaplain or ministry leader will correct anyone doing this. XV. Leadership Resignation or Removal: In the event that the chaplain/pastor resigns his position with local IMI Fellowship and is stepping down on good terms, he may assist the national IMI office in finding his successor. His suggested delegation will be valued and prayerfully considered. In the event of chaplain/pastors removal, such shall be done by the Office of the Presiding Chaplain of IMI [national Office] and only for just cause of gross immorality, criminal action or extreme doctrinal error inconsistent with the Holy Bible. Such a matter shall not be established except by two or three witnesses substantiating the fact in writing to the Office of the Presiding Chaplain of Impact Ministries International and mailed to 1437 East Franklin Blvd. Suite 108 Gastonia, North Carolina using a certified courier [UPS, Fed EX, US Airborne].
Every effort is made to protect our leaders by mentoring them as well as encouraging accountability. It is an unfortunate tragedy when one falls and because of this we will make every effort to reconcile, build up, establish, fortify, empower and forgive such with the ultimate desire of restoration. Only when absolutely necessary will IMI National Office remove a chaplain/pastor from their appointed post. XVI. Basic Foundational Doctrines : These doctrines are so important that we are making mention of them in our bylaws so as the be sure to establish a firm foundation in every believers heart that in times of tribulation they will be able to stand and exercise the Word of Truth in their life. These Basic Doctrines are:
